Clay Oven Chef & Bloomingdale's to Host Upcoming Fundraiser "Evening of Food & Philanthropy"
Massive Fundraiser Will Benefit the Hoag Hospital Foundation on October 27.
- Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) October 02, 2013 - Internationally recognized chef, restaurateur and food columnist Geeta Bansal, owner of the Clay Oven in Irvine, will join Bloomingdale's for the inaugural Food & Philanthropy: A Celebration of Life & the Fight Against Breast Cancer benefiting Hoag Hospital Foundation on Sunday, October 27 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Bloomingdale's in Fashion Island.
The popular Indian gastronome has enlisted some of her friends, who just happen to be some of the county's top chefs, to prepare an eclectic array of tasting plates for the evening. They include Amar Santana of Broadway by Amar Santana, Greg Daniels of Haven Gastropub, Eric Samaniego of Little Sparrow, Pierre Albaladejo of Park Hyatt Aviara and James Hamamori of Hamamori. Tickets are $100 each with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Hoag Hospital Foundation and specifically the Breast Center. Doctors Melvin Silverstein, Allyson Brooks and Gary Levine, all of whom are international experts in this field of medicine will be the honored guests.
Among the other highlights of the red carpet event are wine bar sponsored by Hess Family Wines & Young's Market, vodka cocktails, liquid nitro Affagato's, fromage bar by Surfas and pink macaroons by Lette's. Also planned are an informal fashion show of high-end jewelry and furs and live jazz.
