Classroom Antics Launches New Scratch Programming Day Camp
Classroom Antics expands their technology day camp offering by adding a Scratch Programming course that will teach kids how to easily create their own video game designs, animations, art and music using a user-friendly graphic programming interface.

The Scratch Programming language is unlike most programming languages, because it is visual, block-based not text based. This makes the learning process much easier and less frustrating to young programmers.
At Classroom Antics, we have found that kids not only want to interact with technology, they want to understand it and manipulate it. Once a child understands the basic principals of a technology, the first thing they begin to do is try to use it to make their own creations from it. Scratch is developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab, with financial support from the National Science Foundation, Microsoft, Intel Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, Google, Iomega and MIT Media Lab research consortia.
