Classic Artists Today To Launch Podcast Of "One To Remember" Show Segments
Nationally Syndicated Radio Show will feature tributes to popular music artists whose music touched our lives, on their podcast episodes.
- (1888PressRelease) August 12, 2013 - Classic Artists Today, LLC announced that they will launch a Podcast series of their popular "One To Remember" segment, on August 13, 2013. These are tributes to musicians who have played significant roles as performers, or in bands, that have left their mark on history. The "One To Remember" tributes will cover musicians in the Rock, Pop, Soul, R&B, Blues and Smooth Jazz popular music genres.
"Many of the performers who have helped to shape popular music seldom get recognition for the roles they've played within the industry and in our lives," states Ray White, Managing Director of Classic Artists Today, LLC. "Our tribute series highlights the contributions they have given to us all," White added.
During the initial launch of the "One To Remember" podcast, 10 episodes will be unveiled. They include tributes to: Richard Wright (Pink Floyd), Robin Gibb (Bee Gees), Donna Summer, Richie Hayward (Little Feat), Ronnie James Dio (Rainbow/Dio), Brad Delp (Boston), Davy Jones (The Monkees), Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix Experience), Gladys Horton (Marvellettes) and Dewey Martin (Buffalo Springfield.) Plans for the rest of 2013 and beyond call for the release of several new episodes throughout every month.
The "One To Remember" segments were launched in 2007, as a component of Classic Artist Today's weekly syndicated radio show. Greg Sampson, longtime radio personality and Production Director at Classic Artists Today played a key role in launching the segment for the show. "For the last several years Jody Thornton, a radio personality from Canada, has taken the helm on producing the segment," said White who also serves as Executive Producer.
Classic Artists Today, LLC, produces unique weekly syndicated radio shows that are carried by radio affiliates throughout the United States and in Europe, Canada, New Zealand and the Caribbean. Their Classic Artists Today show features "new" music by "classic" rock, pop and soul bands and performers.
