City orphans express joy while watching live IPL match on stadium
DSK foundation treated the orphan children by taking them to watch live IPL match between Pune Warriors and Chennai Superkings at Mumbai Stadium on Wednesday.
- (1888PressRelease) May 01, 2011 - The opportunity to watch the IPL match between Pune Warriors and Chennai Superkings in Mumbai on Wednesday was definitely a day of amusement for the orphan children.
DSK foundation organized an outing to the D Y Patil Stadium in Mumbai for the children who belonged to two trusts from which 60 children were from the Eklavya Bal Shikshan and Arogya Dnyan Trust and 25 children of Sadguru Datta Dharmik and Prathamik Trust, Pune. DSK Group CMD D S Kulkarni and wife, Hemanti Kulkarni, president of DSK group, were present at the Bal Gandharv to see off the children. Former Cricketer Chandu Borde and social worker Sunil Mahajan accompanied the children.
The children were all set to go and seemed thrilled about the whole experience they had about watching the IPL match. Watching the Indian Cricket team captain, M S Dhoni and super hero Yuvraj play, was a once in a lifetime opportunity for these unprivileged ones. Being from Pune, cheering up for Pune Warriors was apparent, while Dhoni's fan continued to cheer up for the Chennai Superkings.
Speaking about the objective behind the trip, D S Kulkarni said that they wanted to give the underprivileged children a chance to watch live cricket.
