Emerging Designer Event to Present FIA Award to Vogue Magazine Contributing Editor Andre Leon Talley.
- (1888PressRelease) February 11, 2012 - Modeling and Talent company, City Model & Talent, (http://www.citymodelandtalent.com), announced today that two of their models, Elona Voytovych and Evonne Kyd have been booked to walk within the EMERGE NYFW 2012 runway event. The show has consistently been a platform for emerging designers and this year's esteemed Fashion Innovator Award (FIA) will be presented to Vogue's Contributing Editor Andre' Leon Talley. To add to the excitement of the evening the award will be handed off to Andre by legendary designer and President of the CFDA Diane Von Furstenberg. EMERGE! A Fashion Runway Show is produced by D. Williams Public Relations Group and debuted on the Fashion elite social scene in February 2011 and since then has been consistent in providing a platform for emerging designers to showcase their work twice a year for New York City Fashion Week. This year's EMERGE! Event Will feature a total of 6 designers: Terri Stevens of Project Runway, Omar Villalobos & Gordana Rasic, Elie Kuame, Barbara Bates, Michael Alan Stein & Jahi Fitzgerald.

Aside from print and runway work their exclusive casting opportunities for models and talent often include high profile music videos for celebrities such as Jennifer Hudson, Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Lopez and more. Within the last few months, CMT has also taken part in hosting their very own "Fighting Leukemia with Fashion" fundraiser to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in addition to recently exhibiting a table at Saks Fifth Avenue's a Fashion's Night Out event. Their upcoming fashion initiatives include official sponsorship of the October 30, 2011 Pink Fashion Show, which helped raise funds for breast cancer awareness.
