Citrin Cooperman's "Jeans with a Twist" Day Raises Money & Awareness for National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Philadelphia Accounting, Tax & Business Consulting Firm Raises More Than $1,600 for MS Society.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) October 12, 2010 - Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP, a leading accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Philadelphia raised more than $1,600 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society with a recent office-wide dress down day.
Chris Hegarty, firm partner and supporter of the National MS Society, led the charge for the "Jeans with a Twist" Day program in the Philadelphia office. Hegarty and his co-workers made $5 donations to the MS Society and in return were permitted to wear jeans to work that day. In total, the Citrin Cooperman "Jeans with a Twist" program raised $1,657 for the Society.
"Multiple Sclerosis is an issue that is near to my heart, so it was moving to see my colleagues rally around this great cause and organization," said Hegarty. Still he says, "Citrin Cooperman employees contribute to charities because that is the kind of people we are - a casual day is just an added bonus."
Hegarty was recently invited by the Society to become a member of the 2010 MS Leadership Class program, which honors Philadelphia-area professionals who have made outstanding contributions to business, civic and cultural betterment of the community.
