Citrin Cooperman Director Matthew W. Lakofsky Appointed to Board of Directors of Foundation for Adolescent Credit Education
Philadelphia Accountant Named to Board of Directors of Organization Dedicated to Teaching Young Adults to be Fiscally Responsible.

Lakofsky, CVA, a director with Citrin Cooperman in Philadelphia, has been named to the board of directors of the Foundation for Adolescent Credit Education (F.A.C.E.). A recently launched nonprofit organization based in Media, Pa., F.A.C.E. works with schools and community groups to teach young adults how to make wise credit and financial decisions. Lakofsky is a member of Citrin Cooperman's tax group and possesses a broad range of experience working with partnerships, S-corporations and closely held entities in the real estate, legal and financial services industries. He is also a certified valuation analyst, with considerable experience in performing valuations.

Lakofsky has more than 11 years of accounting and tax experience. Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman in 2009, he was a member of a Berwyn, Pa., accounting firm and a financial analyst for Motorola. He was also a tax supervisor at KPMG LLP for more than four years.
An active member of his community, Lakofsky has served on the "Red Cross Cup" subcommittee of the Montgomery County (Pa.) American Red Cross and has completed pro bono work for the Home Builders Association of Chester and Delaware Counties. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
