Citizen Centricity Another Dimension To The Icentered Paradigm
Icentered blog (Icentered.com) added another dimension to the Icentered paradigm and the new lens of Icentricity includes "Citizen Centricity". User centricity is mainly related to the approach that puts the user at the center. Here Icentered.com is elaborating the "User Centricity" approach to "Citizen Centricity", within the existing user centric paradigm.

The author of Icentered.com added this new lens, "citizen centered paradigm" with an aim to call for the same transparency and human centered culture and conduct in the relations between the state and the citizens, placing the focus on the citizens' well-being.
User centricity is primarily associated with marketing disciplines that put the user at the center. Citizens are users of systems created primarily by governments to cater to their needs. Governing systems, just like commercial ones, need to be attentive to their users for their survivability and adapt accordingly. Yet, to date citizen aspects of user centricity evolved primarily around digital relations between citizens and governing institutions, aiming to facilitate interaction and make processes and information more accessible to citizens, within the framework of existing paradigms.
The author relates to citizen centricity, "We all know, Icentered paradigm is not just about emancipating users from dependency on providers. It is about renewing a fundamental pact of trust and authenticity that will result in transparent reciprocity and mutual respect, green web ecology and now its citizen centricity."
In a series of posts on citizen centricity the author claims that in the face of the political and economic unrest, a need arises to redefine the balance between the governing parties and their constituents, in a paradigm that will bring back the human factor into the center of the equation and will focus on the citizens and their well being.
She explains that a state's ecology is manifested by its social conscious, considering the human aspects of its officials' operations and not losing the human touch in executing its policies. Sovereignty should be based on trust, Trust is enhanced by transparency. Both are rare goods these days.
The internet and user centered web culture are among the main powers that will ignite and feed tectonic shifts, as citizens will proclaim their rightful place in their relations with their institutions and states.
At the end, the author added, "The earth is already shaking in some countries, others are in the process of very significant shifts and others will follow if leaders fail to read the writings on the wall where citizens, in many countries, in many different ways, are claiming an affordable human centered life, demanding new orders, values and regulations that adhere to the people's voice and needs in new pacts tailored around their central place and needs."
