CIS' CalcPartner Service Based Offering Achieves SAS 70 Compliance
CIS becomes the first service based company in government pricing calculations to achieve SAS 70 compliance.
- Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) September 15, 2011 - Compliance Implementation Services (CIS), a leading life sciences consulting firm, announced today that it passed a SAS 70 audit, conducted in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Statement on Auditing Standard (SAS) 70 standards, for their proprietary CalcPartner systems and services.
CIS has filled a need in the industry for Government Programs by offering a service that leverages compliance expertise and its proprietary CalcPartner system to perform the required calculations on behalf of pharmaceutical manufacturers. This service helps minimize the significant systems and staffing infrastructure required by companies to perform the calculations in house using commercially available systems.

Through the SAS 70 engagement, CIS' control policies and procedures were evaluated and tested by an independent party and helped to identify opportunities for improvements in operational areas. CIS' Service Auditor's Report includes a description of controls as well as a detailed testing of CIS' controls over a minimum six month period. CIS will complete a full and complete audit each year including new procedures and/or tests, according to Greg Wehn, IT Audit and Administration Manager at CIS.
