CIS Announces New Compliance Diagnostic Tool: CIS Risk Reveal(TM)
CIS announced the launch of a new tool to help life sciences companies evaluate their compliance risk and identify areas of noncompliance through an easy to read report.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) September 24, 2014 - Compliance Implementation Services (CIS), a leading compliance advisor and operations firm, today announces the launch of CIS Risk Reveal™, a compliance diagnostic tool for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies. Executives complete a short questionnaire that is analyzed by CIS experts who develop a custom report that includes CIS' proprietary Reveal Matrix™ and Risk Reveal™ score. Results are displayed in easy-to-understand graphics that identify and rank compliance areas into "elevated," "moderate" or "optimal" groups.
"CIS Risk Reveal provides life sciences companies with a straightforward, efficient way to identify potential areas of noncompliance risk within their various departments," said Alise Fredrickson, Marketing Director, CIS. "The information that is collected and analyzed informs executives on areas of priority that can be leveraged when developing compliance initiatives, strategies and budgets."
"CIS Risk Reveal assists companies in understanding their potential compliance risk by evaluating a manufacturer's key compliance activities against industry best practices and benchmarks."
CIS Risk Reveal grew out of a need to provide small- and mid-sized life sciences companies with a tool that identified potential areas of compliance risk that are common across the industry and that are frequently associated with government investigations, fines and CIAs. Healthcare Reform has increased oversight and requirements through programs such as CMS Open Payments, drug and device sample reporting and patient privacy that have stretched resources and required that compliance staff gain knowledge across a broad spectrum of government regulations and laws. In particular, this tool is well-suited for medical device companies who are subject to the new government regulations and often have more limited resources and staff to meet these demands.
"CIS Risk Reveal assists companies in understanding their potential compliance risk by evaluating a manufacturer's key compliance activities against industry best practices and benchmarks, and by providing guidance on how to optimize the manufacturer's compliance efforts to respond to identified opportunities," said Clarissa Crain, Vice President, Consulting, CIS.
