- (1888PressRelease) October 20, 2010 - The CIO Insurance Summit wrapped today in Scottsdale, Arizona after two-and-one-half days of educational sessions, networking and in-depth discussions on the latest technology topics and trends. The IT event successfully brought together CIOs and innovative IT executives representing some of the largest insurance companies in North America, including MassMutual, The Hartford, Chubb, Allstate, and more.
The CIO Insurance Summit agenda, which included sessions on technology topics chosen by the CIO Insurance Summit Content Committee, was the highlight of the event, and allowed attending executives and analysts to have candid discussions around critical technology topics, including best practices in preparing for IT outsourcing, deployment challenges within a global claims environment, and improving claims productivity and compliance.
"The high level of conversation at the CIO Insurance Summit really helped make the event a success, and I want to personally thank all of the attendees who worked to make that happen. The agenda sessions were right on target thanks to the Content Committee, and I think all attendees left the event with new ideas and new industry insights," said Mark Southam, Event Director, CIO Insurance Summit.
One educational session that was particularly well received was the CIO Thought-Leadership, "How Can Insurance Companies Manage Closed Book Business Better, Reduce Cost per Policy on Current Products and Launch New Products/Channels Efficiently." Led by a representative from NIIT Technologies, a global IT services company, this session covered technology solutions that reduce operational costs and help ensure new products are matched with the right channels.
Representatives from the following companies also participated in the event's agenda: Chartis, Guardian Life, ACE Group, Novarica, and the Great American Insurance Group. Also present at the event were representatives from Good Technology, a company that combines enterprise-grade mobile security and control with exceptional user experience to enable organizations and end users to connect on their devices of choice.
