- (1888PressRelease) January 10, 2011 - Cindy Richards, Editor of TravelingMom.com, an online magazine for mothers on the go will appear on BlogTalkRadio's "AiresLibre Travel Show" with host Raquel Segura on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. Eastern.
On this episode entitled "Tips for Traveling with Kids" Cindy and Raquel will be dispensing invaluable advice and discussing the best methods, destinations and insights for traveling with children ranging from infants to teens.
Cindy Richards is a travel writer, the mom of two terrific teens, and the editor for TravelingMom.com. She is a veteran journalist in Chicago who has worked as a reporter, editor and/or columnist at both of the city's daily newspapers, the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune, as well as serving as an editor at two of its award-winning magazines, Chicago Parent and Catalyst Chicago.
She teaches a graduate-level journalism class at Northwestern University's elite Medill School of Journalism, has won many awards for her writing and been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. After all of that, she finally came to her senses and asked: Why chase thieving politicians when you can get on a plane and chase the sunset?
Richards now finds her muse in traveling the globe, generally with one or both of her kids in tow. She shares her expertise, both as a journalist and traveling mom, as editor of TravelingMom.com.
TravelingMom is a 4-year-old online magazine for moms who travel, with and without their kids. The site is chock full of stories about great family travel destinations, tips for traveling with kids and a section filled with free things to do in the 50 states. The newest addition to the TravelingMom site is the TravelingMom Blogger Network. The Blogger Network includes more than 60 travelingmoms, each of whom writes about travel in a particular niche. Their blog names say it all--Adventure TravelingMom, Special Needs TravelingMom, TravelingMom with Tinys and TravelingMom with Teens, the blog that Cindy writes.
