Cindy M. Johnson Appointed To Isba Assembly
Johnson Legal Group, LLC's principal, Cindy M. Johnson, has been appointed to serve a 3-year term as a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Assembly.
- Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) October 05, 2013 - Ms. Johnson is pleased to be joining the Illinois State Bar Association Assembly. The Assembly is the supreme policy making body of the Association. Its members determine the official positions that the organization will take on various issues related to the law and provision of legal services.
The Assembly has 201 lawyer members plus lawyer student members from affiliated law schools. The Assembly's members come from various judicial circuits throughout the state. Ms. Johnson is designated as one of the members of the Cook County, Illinois Judicial Circuit and will serve a term as an Assembly member through June of 2016.
After acting as a section counsel member for the ISBA's Commercial, Collections, Banking and Bankruptcy section for a number of years, Ms. Johnson is pleased to have this opportunity to become more involved in some other aspects of the ISBA such as assisting it in determining the ISBA's direction, its legislative positions, its efforts to garner more respect for lawyers, its ability to reach people and change their lives-both lawyers and non-lawyers.
