  • (1888PressRelease) September 09, 2010 - Following on from their white paper, 'Emissions Verification in the Aviation Sector' which looks at the issues aircraft operators might face when complying with the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, CICS, (Complete Integrated Certification Services Ltd), has published a new white paper called 'EU ETS: Risk Assessments and Procedures'. The free paper explains how to comply with those sections of the MRG (Monitoring and Reporting Guidelines) that are concerned with the control system that a company, including aircraft operators, must put in place to ensure compliance with EU ETS requirements.

CICS was the first body to be accredited to provide verification services for the EU ETS and has recently received accreditation from UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) to provide verification for aircraft operators. Those companies that fall under the Scheme must report annual emissions data that have been independently verified.

Shaun Bainbridge, Sales Director at CICS, said: "Companies we work with have often found it difficult to understand exactly what they need to be doing in order to comply with certain sections of the MRG. This white paper will, we hope, go some way to explaining exactly what is required. This may be of particular benefit to those new sectors included in EU ETS, namely aviation."

Both white papers can be downloaded at www.cicsglobal.com/aviation.
