Church Of Scientology's Charity Coalition To Host Non-profit Leaders For December Luncheon
The Church of Scientology invites the executives, staff and volunteers of Tampa Bay area non-profit organizations to the Charity Coalition luncheon on Wednesday, December 2nd. The event will be held in the Crystal Ballroom of the historic Fort Harrison and provide networking opportunities and an educational program to benefit non-profits.
- Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) November 04, 2015 - The event will begin at 11:30am with a buffet lunch, followed by a presentation from this month's spotlight charity, the Children's Home Society of Florida. The Society is a non-profit organization helping families become parents through adoption and foster care programs.
The luncheon will also include a short educational presentation on board governance.
The Charity Coalition luncheons were established in September 2014 by the Church of Scientology to provide a platform for members of Tampa Bay area nonprofits to come together and collaborate for positive change in our community. The anniversary banquet in September 2015 hosted representatives from 100 organizations. Previous speakers have included Neil Brickfield, Executive Director of Pinellas Sheriff's Police Athletic League, Michelle Turman, Principal Consultant at Catalyst Consulting Agency and Emily Benham, CEO of Nonprofit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay.
"Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard wrote that 'A community that pulls together can make a better society for all' and we, as a community, have a unique opportunity to do that through the Charity Coalition," said Pat Harney, the spokesperson for the Church of Scientology's international religious retreat in Clearwater.
The event is open to any board member, executives, volunteers or staff from a non-profit organization. There is no cost to attend.
If you are interested in receiving an invitation to the event, please contact Jennifer Webb at 727-467-6860.
