Church of Scientology Community News: "Oklahoma Needs You" Donation Drive
The Nashville Church of Scientology supports the good works of others. Today's highlight: the "Oklahoma Needs You" donation drive.
- (1888PressRelease) June 03, 2013 - "Oklahoma Needs You" is the banner under which primarily Hispanic community groups from across Nashville have come together to support the survivors of the 2013 tornadoes in Oklahoma. With two deadly storms in an eleven-day period, the need for help has become all the more urgent, which is why Oklahoma Needs You is holding a donation drive June 2, 2013 between 12-6pm at the Community Center of the Global Mall, formerly the Old Hickory Hollow Mall in Antioch.
Comprised mainly of Hispanic media including Pégate La Sabrosita 99.3 FM radio, Hola Tennessee! Newspaper and La Campana Newspaper - this group has come together to ensure that the people of Oklahoma are taken care of in this time of need. Other Hispanic groups who have entered this coalition include Abogados de la Comunidad and Ibiza Night Club.
The group says it will not accept cash donations, but to please give those to the American Red Cross. They are asking for the following items: diapers, baby formula, baby wipes, bottled water, canned foods, antibacterial gel, sanitary towels, deodorant, tooth brushes, toothpaste, body soap, vitamins and ibuprofen.
The donation drive will be held at the Community Center of the Global Mall at the Crossings in Antioch from 12-6pm on June 2nd.
