Choobi Choobi Continues Expanding in Cebu
Choobi Choobi Restaurant in Cebu, Philippines has opened its third branch after just one year of operations. To launch the new branch in Mabolo, Cebu, there are new menu offerings and promotional activities, building up to a celebrity appearance later this month.
- (1888PressRelease) November 09, 2014 - After a little over a year since opening its first restaurant in Parkmall, followed by its branch in Capitol, Cebu's own Choobi Choobi restaurant has now opened a third branch along Panagdait Street in Mabolo, near Castle Peak Hotel.
"Choobi Choobi Mabolo is intended to serve residents in Cebu City who find our Parkmall branch too far for them," said Stan Tanchan, Choobi Choobi president.
"As with our Parkmall and Capitol branches, this new location is intended as a dining destination for family and friends who want a memorable dining experience with good food and ambience at very affordable prices."
Choobi Choobi Mabolo is currently on its soft opening. To kick-off this new branch, a new flavor has been added to Choobi Choobi's signature house specialty of "Shrimps In a Bag", which is one full pound of fresh shrimp flavored in different ways.
"This new addition is called 'Singaporean Style Salted Egg Shrimps In a Bag', with shrimp cooked in salted duck egg," Tanchan said. "This was inspired by the popular Singapore dish known as prawns in salted yolk sauce."
Other new menu additions include Sinugbang Pasayan, Vegetable Spring Rolls, and BBQ Manok Bisaya. These new dishes are available in all Choobi Choobi branches.
Management is also currently planning its line-up of activities and promotions for the grand opening.
"We want to give a lot of special offers and discounts to the Cebuanos, who have been very supportive from the start," Tanchan continued. "We will be announcing our promotions very soon."
Plans for more branches are also currently under way.
"We plan to open two to three more branches in Cebu between now and first quarter next year," Tanchan said. "God willing, we are also looking at opening branches in Manila."
Choobi Choobi's current best sellers include Shrimps In a Bag, Chilean Mussels In a Bag, Choobi Crispy Pata, Lola Pepang's Fried Manok, Mama Pina's Fried Spring Duck, Patrick Starr Baked Scallop, and Grilled Stuffed Squid.
