China Publishes New Product Standard for Children's Canvas Rubber

- (1888PressRelease) January 19, 2022 - SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is reminding manufacturers that China’s Administration of Market Supervision and Standardization Administration has released a new product standard – SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is reminding manufacturers that China’s Administration of Market Supervision and Standardization Administration has released a new product standard – GB/T 25036-2021 – for children’s canvas rubber footwear.
Published on October 11, 2021, the new standard is applicable to footwear for toddlers and children, where the outsole is made predominantly from rubber or a similar elastomer material, and the upper is made from textiles or other synthetic or natural material.
The new standard replaces GB 25036-2010 and will come into effect on May 1, 2022. Revisions include new terms and definitions, new requirements for shoe size and model, and new testing methodologies for physical safety performance.
SGS has published a complete overview of the changes brought in by the new standard as SafeGuard 004/22. This SafeGuard includes a breakdown of the main technical requirements and test methods under GB/T 25036-2021.
