China ethanolamine market grow at a CAGR of 32% during 2006-2014

According to CCM's recent research, from 2006 to 2014, the CAGRs of China's ethanolamine capacity and output were about 32% and 28% respectively. The self-sufficiency rate of ethanolamine in China has been greatly increased, reaching about 70% in 2014. It's estimated that, China will achieve self-sufficient in ethanolamine in a few years owing to the fast development of this industry.
According to CCM, currently China's ethanolamine production is mainly concentrated in East China and Northeast China, where the major petrochemical producers are concentrated in. This is because the key raw material of ethanolamine, ethylene oxide, is inconvenient for long-distance transportation.
China's ethanolamine is mainly applied in the production of cement grinding aid, agrochemical, organic synthesis and surfactant. Driven by the strong demand from cement grinding aid and organic synthesis, China's ethanolamine consumption increased with a CAGR of over 16% during 2006-2014.
The consumption of ethanolamine in China is mainly distributed in the more developed regions, such as East China, North China and South China, where its economy is relatively better and transportation is more convenient.
