China Engineering Vehicle Industry Report, 2010-Published by ResearchInChina
ResearchInChina, the vertical portal for Chinese business intelligence, announces the release of a new report -China Engineering Vehicle Industry Report, 2010.
- (1888PressRelease) May 12, 2011 - Engineering vehicle is a kind of special goods vehicle van equipped with facilities needed in engineering work. Common engineering vehicles consist of engineering emergency vehicle, power engineering vehicle, and the like. From 2009 to 2010, the output of engineering vehicles in China fell a bit but kept stable as a whole. In first seven months of 2010, China had 18 manufacturers whose total output of engineering vehicle registered 2,479 units, and the total output in the full year of 2010 was estimated to decrease by around 10% year-on-year to 4,250 units.
During 2009-2010, Chinese engineering vehicle market was featured as follows:
1. The market was dominated by light engineering vehicle.
In 2009, China boasted 28 manufacturers of light engineering vehicle whose output footing up to 4,193 units, an 88.53% share of total engineering vehicle output of the year. Compared with this, the outputs of medium engineering vehicle and heavy engineering vehicle arrived at 433 units and 104 units, accounting for 9.14% and 2.20% of total engineering vehicle output of the year, respectively. The supply of light engineering vehicle is abundant, while the output of medium and heavy engineering vehicles characterized by higher technical content and higher added value is limited in a relative sense.
2. Production was highly centralized.
In 2009 and H1 2010, total output of top six Chinese manufacturers of engineering vehicle reached 3,849 units and 1,830 units respectively, accounting for 81% and 88% of total output. In terms of rankings, Nanjing Automobile, Zhengzhou NISSAN Automobile, Jiangling Motor Group Specialty Vehicle and Shenyang Brilliance Jinbei Automobile have kept being the four leading manufacturers of the industry.
3. Engineering vehicle chassis mainly were domestic products.
Chassis brands that find widespread application in light engineering vehicle are mainly IVECO, NISSAN and JWC Quanshun, those in medium engineering vehicle include Dongfeng and Jianghuai, and those in heavy engineering vehicle cover ISUZU. In 2009, the use of foreign chassis brands in China-made medium engineering vehicles and heavy ones accounted for 3% and 6% respectively of total chassis in service, showing domestic chassis for heavy and medium engineering vehicle is still lagged behind similar overseas chassis.
With the data sourced from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the report analyzes the overall market situation of engineering vehicle and the market sizes of light, medium and heavy engineering vehicles in China, lays emphasis on the manufacturing and supporting of engineering vehicle chassis, and at length introduces the production and development trends of 16 leading manufacturers of engineering vehicle in China.
Nanjing NAC Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd, with a registered capital of RMB35.5467 million and the brand Changda, is engaged in the marketing of special refitted cars of IVECO, Yuejin, SAIC Istana, JAC Refine, etc.
Zhengzhou NISSAN Automobile Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Nanyang Municipal Government of Henan Province in December 2010, to jointly build a special purpose vehicle production base in Nanyang.
Jiangling Motor Group Specialty Vehicle Co, Ltd., established in 1996, presently owns more than 200 product varieties in ten series covering such vehicle models as new energy vehicle, ambulance, police car and luxury saloon car.
Nanjing Automobile Factory and Jiangsu Zhongyi Auto Co., Ltd., both located in Nanjing City of Jiangsu Province, have annual vehicle-refitting capacity of 3,000 cars apiece.
