He has more than 10 years of experience as a quantitative trader and risk manager. He has held the positions of chief investment officer at Lotsoff Capital Management and AQ Strategies.

Prior to becoming an industry practitioner, Mr. Balasanov taught at the Moscow State University, Russia, where he also received his Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Ph. D. in Probability and Statistics.
