THIRD ANNUAL ALABAMA HILLS, CALIFORNIA WORKSHOP
    Oct. 17-18, 2009

Enjoy an October weekend to the Sierra Nevada Range when the light is right! For either the beginner or advanced photographer.

Between the base of Mt. Whitney in the steep, eastern escarpment of the Sierra Nevada Range, and the historic town of Lone Pine, where the extensive movie history of the area is evident, are the stunningly unique Alabama Hills. Seemingly primordial-looking boulders and micro-ranges of rock create an infinitely textured foreground of smooth and rounded shapes with a dramatic view of the jagged Sierra peaks above. Experienced landscape photographers will quickly see the possibilities.

Informal and fun, your instructors will be shooting alongside you at all times. We will have discussions about techniques and creativity each day. This trip is about shooting — lots of shooting. We will work closely together, sharing our knowledge and experience. Feel free to bring samples of your photography for review, as the goal of this workshop is to have fun and become a better and more competent photographer.
