Along with franchisees nationwide, Chem-Dry Corporate is showing their commitment to fighting breast cancer by getting involved locally.
I feel like breast cancer can be beat because of women like us-fighting to accomplish something challenging
(1888PressRelease) August 17, 2011 - Logan, UT - Twenty female employees of Chem-Dry Corporate 'ran like girls' in the Pink Series 10K on Saturday August 6, 2011 in Logan, Utah, to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. Chem-Dry associates smiled as they participated in the first Pink Series race in Cache County.
The Pink Series race attracted 150 women from all across Utah. The women ran for their mothers, aunts, grandmas, sisters and friends.
De Ann Corbell, a Chem-Dry Corporate employee who has been personally affected by breast cancer said, "Running this race gave me a feeling of strength and pride. I feel like breast cancer can be beat because of women like us-fighting to accomplish something challenging."
Chem-Dry has made large efforts this year in raising breast cancer awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and for women in need everywhere in their 2011 Cleaning for the Cause program. Thousands of women and families are affected by breast cancer each year and Chem-Dry wants to help by donating a minimum of $25,000 collectively as a brand. Their partnership with NBCF hopes to bring help for today and hope for tomorrow.
Ed Quinlan, Vice President of Marketing Communications at Chem-Dry said, "We care deeply about helping in the battle against breast cancer because it affects so many of our customers. We hope to increase awareness and help save lives through early detection."
"This is a cause that's important to our clientele," Quinlan added. "Because so many of our customers are touched by this disease, we felt that supporting the Pink Series races and fundraising for National Breast Cancer Foundation were a great cause we could really get behind as a corporate entity and a network of carpet cleaners across the nation."
Chem-Dry has established a special website dedicated to the fundraising and educations efforts for Cleaning for the Cause at www.cleaningforthecause.com. Consumers can learn about the local involvement in addition to connecting with informational resources about breast cancer.
