Chateau de Bangkok, a boutique Bangkok hotel, is well known for providing a European twist on Thai life without European price tags. The Bangkok hotel recently launched a new set menu range of weekday lunch specials, to excellent feedback.
(1888PressRelease) June 25, 2009 - Chateau de Bangkok has a new chef at the helm of their Italian restaurant, Paparazzi. He has created a European-style set lunch menu, which the Bangkok hotel is offering at discount prices.
The lunch menu varies throughout each of the weekdays, however it is priced regularly at the discount rate of 420TB (USD$12 at current exchange rates).
Themes run from 'Monday Sunshine' to 'Tuesday Blossom' and 'Friday Weekend Joy'. Each set menu includes an entrée, main course and dessert, along with tea or coffee.
Somrudee Nooner, Chateau de Bangkok's Director of Sales and Marketing, says that the deliciously executed European classics, utilizing incredibly fresh Thai ingredients, have been the favored dishes so far. "The Small Squid Pibales from the Friday lunch menu, a risotto with squid cooked in black ink, and the Darne of Salmon from Wednesday's menu have been especially loved."
"The freshness of Thai seafood is a real bonus with simple, lightly spiced European dishes like these", Mrs Nooner said.
Entrees for the lunch special at this Bangkok hotel consist of either soup or salad. Main courses are generally pasta dishes, meat or seafood dishes, while desserts range from tiramisu, to crème brulee or homemade Italian ice-cream.
General Manager Marc Schaub recently introduced a less formal (although no less attentive and personal) service policy at the Bangkok boutique hotel, which includes the option for guests to order dishes that aren't on the menu at Paparazzi. "We try to prepare anything customers want, including Thai dishes," said Mr Schaub in a recent interview.
