The Special Event Company will host delegates from Texas, New York, Michigan, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Louisiana, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico at the Discovery Place science museum.
In order to be selected by the Democratic National Convention, The Special Event Company participated in a lengthy interview process, showing a unique ability to interpret and celebrate the rich social and business environment of the Queen City. - Charlotte in 2012 and the Democratic National Convention Committee adopted a diversity contracting policy for the 2012 Democratic National Convention. The policy states that the DNCC has a goal of spending at least one-third of its funding on contracts and projects with Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women Business Enterprises (WBEs), Disability-Owned Businesses, LGBT-Owned Businesses, and Veteran-Owned Businesses.
