Charity Raises Awareness for Troops and Animals
Hounds and Heroes, a national charity recently announced the launch of its official charity website in collaboration with Media One Pro, a Las Vegas based Web Development firm.
- Las Vegas, NV-AZ (1888PressRelease) February 16, 2012 - Hounds and Heroes dedicates it's efforts towards lifting the spirits of active, wounded and veteran military personnel worldwide while at the same time also increasing awareness and community involvement in stopping cruelty to animals by providing rescue, foster, and adoption services for animals.
Founded by Bonnie-Jill Laflin, sports broadcaster and the only female scout in the NBA for the Los Angeles Lakers, started the charity because of her previous adoptions of many animals growing up. She adopted horses, cows, cats and dogs growing up, which fostered her love for animals and inspired her to take action against animal cruelty. Laflin's family has served in the armed forces, her grandfather received the Purple Heart for his service during World War II, which has led for an patriotic appreciation of every facet of the United States Armed Forces. Laflin decided to create a charity that donates 100% of its proceeds to various charities that align with her goals.
When Laflin was asked to comment on the creation of her charity website, she stated, "It's amazing to make our charity even more official. Every bit counts towards creating awareness against animal cruelty and supporting our brave troops.
