Charity Car Show Cruises into Auburn; Raises Funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation
The New England School of Metalwork's Annual Charity Car Show visits Auburn, ME to raise money for Make-A-Wish Foundation, Maine Chapter.
- Lewiston-Auburn, ME (1888PressRelease) October 03, 2012 - The New England School of Metalwork will host a car show on Saturday to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Maine Chapter. The 7th annual Charity Car Show will take place in the Maine Oxy parking lot at 7 Albiston Way Auburn, Maine on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 8am - 1pm.
Car enthusiasts and members of the general public are welcome to attend the New England School of Metalwork Charity Car Show for free. Car registration is $10.00 per vehicle and there are17 classes to choose from to enter a vehicle, depending on make, model and year. Registration begins at 7am and the show opens at 8am.
All visitors are also welcome to participate in the 50/50 raffle and live auction. All proceeds and direct donations will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Maine Chapter, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Employees from Maine Oxy's Auburn location and the New England School of Metalwork selected the Make-A-Wish Foundation to benefit from this year's event. Every other year, the Maine Oxy team selects a new charity to support. Funding for the Make a Wish Foundation will help the organization reach its annual goal to grant wishes to over 75 seriously ill Maine children.
Also occurring during the Car Show is a special in-store discount related to the Maine Oxy Supports the Troops (M.O.S.T.) program, which sends care packages to troops overseas. Those who bring contributions valuing $10 or more to be donated to the troops will receive a10% discount on the day of the Car Show. The discount can be used on purchases in the Auburn store, excluding sale items.
