Chapman Freeborn wins the Air Cargo News charter award for the second consecutive year
Air Cargo News Cargo Airline of the Year awards ceremony, entering its 30th year, has long been recognised as the Oscars of the air cargo industry.
- (1888PressRelease) May 04, 2013 - Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has been named Cargo Charter Broker of the Year by leading industry title Air Cargo News for the second year running.
Chris Chapman, chairman and co-founder of Chapman Freeborn, was on hand to accept the award at a gala event held at the Lancaster Hotel in London on April 27.
The latest industry accolade marks the end of a busy 12 month period for Chapman Freeborn, who recently secured an innovative new strategic cooperation agreement with Lufthansa Cargo to handle all of the airline's third-party chartering requirements.
In the last 12 months Chapman Freeborn has also continued to expand its unrivalled global network, strengthening its presence in markets including Scandinavia and Russia and establishing a sales and marketing operation in Argentina.
The Air Cargo News charter award also arrives as Chapman Freeborn prepares to officially celebrate its 40th anniversary in May.
For the last four decades Chapman Freeborn has prided itself on providing niche aircraft solutions and its ability to undertake complex airlift projects has helped to set it apart from its competitors.
Standout airlift operations in the last 12 months include a project managed by Chapman Freeborn's UAE team to move 111 outsize construction vehicles from Sharjah to Kandahar, as well as humanitarian airdrop operations to deliver over 4000 tons of aid in Sudan and the Central African Republic.
