CHAMPS Career Prep Charter School Opens In Tamarac And Offers June Informational Open Houses
Brand new Career Prep Charter High School CHAMPS to open - first open house June 14, 2014, 1 pm.
- Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) June 10, 2014 - CHAMPS Career Prep of Tamarac is pleased to announce the opening of their new school August 18, and will conduct parent and student information sessions June 14, at 1 p.m., June 18, at 6:30 p.m. and June 27, at 6:30 p.m.
The free public charter high school located at 2099 Prospect Rd. is now accepting enrollment applications for 300 students.
CHAMPS serves students grades 9-12 and focuses on balancing scholarship, citizenship and service. The school offers extensive college/career preparation curriculum and technology and career exploration classes.
In addition to their regular curriculum, CHAMPS expects students to participate in work, volunteer or internships. The school offers opportunities for placement in each of these areas.
According to CHAMPS President Joseph A. Russo, "We are pleased to open our new school in Tamarac and to provide students the chance to gain an exceptional education that will prepare them for college and career while grooming them to become the leaders of tomorrow."
