Chad Sahinkaya attends id2 National Training Camp for the second consecutive year.
- (1888PressRelease) December 08, 2010 - Chad Sahinkaya was selected to attend the 2010 id2 National Training Camp, Nov. 11-14 at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas.
Chad Sahinkaya of Colleyville, Texas, son of Turan Sahinkaya and Lori Sahinkaya, currently plays up for the FC Dallas 97 Boys Premier team, currently ranked #1 in North Texas and #1 in Region 3.
Chad Sahinkaya states, "I am honored to have been selected to participate in the id2 program for the second year. It's been a great opportunity to be around talented players from all over the nation and meet some amazing coaches. I participated in good game play and competition and met friends that I am now in contact with from all around the country.
One of my favorite id2 moments was when I was picked to play on the All-Star team against the coaches and I scored the first goal against them, even though they got lucky and won by one goal in the end, laughs Sahinkaya. The gear Nike supplied was awesome and the iSoccer drills were fun. It was a wonderful experience and I sure hope I can attend again next year!"
Chad's father, Turan Sahinkaya, says, "There were elite players from the 97 and 98 age group in attendance in Frisco and they represented a total of 23 states. It is an impressive program with sessions and training that will be beneficial to Chad. He's such a hard worker and camps such as this are advantageous to soccer players like Chad who are always thriving to do their best and want to take their skills to the next level."
The id2 program, established in 2004, provides an opportunity for the country's top youth talent to be identified and developed by U.S. Soccer National Team Staff for possible inclusion in U.S. Soccer's National Team programs.
