The goal of the Task Force was to provide policymakers and field practitioners with an updated and independent view of current developments on CIP (with an emphasis on CIIP) and PPP, while at the same time representing in an objective way the needs and problems identified by industry players and authoritative scholars in the field. The final report of the task force: "PROTECTING CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE EU", was published in Q1 2011, and can be downloaded at: http://www.ceps.eu/book/protecting-critical-infrastructure-eu
WCK's contribution:
The contribution of WCK to the taskforce focused on assessing the need for Framework for CIIP Risk Management in Europe and on providing the structural approach to the needed. WCK's Risk Evaluation Matrix can be found in the final report of the Task Force, in paragraph 3.2.2, as an example for CIIP risk assessment model:
Assessing the risk level related to a given critical infrastructure by using a comprehensive, all-hazards approach has become a priority, in order to allow a better flow of information and increase the efficiency of the market and the risk management capacity of private and public actors.
