Tucked away in the rolling hills of Carmel Valley, historic Holman Ranch will provide a unique and memorable setting for an afternoon of fly fishing essentials. With its charming gardens, stunning mountain views and serenity, this private estate affords old-world charm while providing modern day conveniences. This impressive property includes a fully restored stone hacienda, overnight guest rooms, vineyards, olive grove, horse stables and more. Learn how to survive your first fly fishing trip by learning the essential skills of fly fishing: tackle selection, knots, basic casts and line manipulations, reading the water, entomology and fly selection. Geoff Malloway's sensible approach to this course will help you build a solid foundation of fly fishing fundamentals and stimulate your interest in taking the sport to any level you desire.
Attendees will enjoy one glass of the estate wines of Holman Ranch (personally selected by owners Hunter and Nick). Wines include: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rosé of Pinot Noir. In addition attendees will enjoy a couple small bites from Chef Brandon Miller at Mundaka between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Additional glasses of Holman Ranch wine can be purchased for $10.00 per glass.
