Central Coast Fly Fishing Celebrates Dad and Announces Its Summer Class Schedule

- Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) May 24, 2013 - Central Coast Fly Fishing located at 7172 Carmel Valley Road in Carmel owner Geoff Malloway announced today a special Father's Day event as well as Central Coast Fly Fishing Summer class schedule.
On Saturday, June 15th, Central Coast Fly Fishing is all about dad. Bring dad in for group casting lesson from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Enjoy iced tea, a nibble and a casting session with Malloway. The class is limited to 10 people. The cost is $35 per adult and children 10 and older can attend for free with a paid adult. This is the perfect pre-Father's Day celebration. Also, on Saturday, June 15th Central Coast Fly Fishing will also hold a BBQ from 11 - 12. Anyone that spends more than $25 at the store on Saturday, June 15th can enjoy the BBQ.
Central Coast Fly Fishing is also holding a Father's Day contest to win a $100 gift certificate. Email a favorite photo of you and your dad fishing. Saturday Morning Casting Clinics
· Taught by Geoff Malloway
· Held on the second or third Saturday of each month. Call to confirm.
· 8:30AM to 10:00AM
· $30/person (all equipment included)
· 2 to 10 students CLINICS MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 STUDENTS OR THEY'LL BE CANCELLED.
Whether you're a first-timer or an accomplished fly fisher, these 90-minute clinics will get you squared away on the basic casting stroke and various delivery casts or even fine-tune your ability to shoot line and double-haul.
Beginning Fly Tying
· Taught by Geoff Malloway
· June 4th & 5th, July 9th & 10th, September 3rd & 4th, October 8th & 9th.
· 6:00PM to 9:00PM both days.
· $80.00/person (includes all materials)
· Limited to 4 students.
Using a straightforward teaching style, Geoff Malloway will help you learn the basic fly tying techniques needed to tie five popular trout patterns: San Juan worm, woolly bugger, hare's ear nymph, elk hair caddis and the adams. Geoff will talk about different tools and materials as they are used.
Sage Floating Trout Clinic
· Taught by Sage Instructor, Bill Lowe
· June 8th
· Location: Yuba River
· 8:30AM -5:00PM
· $150.00 per student
· Limited to 4 students
Students will spend the day learning the different techniques used for trout angling as they use a drift-boat to access a stretch of river as their classroom. Dry-fly, indicator-nymphing, tight-line nymphing, swing, and streamer tactics will be thoroughly discussed and demonstrated, while in close supervision with a highly qualified instructor / guide. Students must provide their own tackle.
Sage Spey for Shad
· Taught by Sage Instructor, Bill Lowe
· June 14th
· 3:30PM - dark.
· Location: American River
· $150.00 per student.. Equipment provided.
· Limited to 4 students
Are you thinking about wanting to learn to spey-cast with a two-handed rod? Here's a fun way to scratch that itch and probably get your line grabbed at the same time. Join Bill for an afternoon/evening of learning and fishing on the American River during the early summer shad-run. Learn and work on the basic spey-casts and then we'll put flies on our leaders and swing 'em in front of the shad....WHACK! Shad ON!
