Celebrity Talk Radio hosted by Cyndi Seidler talks to Robert F Lyons about his children's book inspired by his 13-year old adopted dog and acting career.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) May 20, 2013 - The multitude of movies and TV series starring and co-starring actor Robert F. Lyons has shown him as a bad guy, a good guy, a regular guy, and a not so regular guy. No matter what character he's played, this is one of those rare times we'll be able to catch Lyons portray himself as an author, in real life, during an intimate interview on Celebrity Talk Radio hosted by Cyndi Seidler.
Lyons' book, Polar Dog, is a children's story inspired by the 13-year old dog he adopted into his family. The book took on instant popularity, now seeming to be on its way to becoming a children's classic.
The story is about an Arctic born cub that can't accept his surroundings and has his identity questioned by his own family. As an outcast, he ventures out on his own struggling to find acceptance.
Seidler met Lyons when she attended his acting classes in the early '90s. "He not only taught me acting, but how to be comfortable in my own skin," Seidler says. "I have to wonder how much of this story other adults, beside myself, have related with in terms of finding acceptance for who we are and what we want to be or do."
Lyons will also talk about his acting career, spanning over 35 years, that included Law and Order: LA, Criminal Minds, Cold Case, Roswell, Walker Texas Ranger, Freddy's Nightmares, Murder She Wrote, Murphy's Law, Knight Rider, The A-Team, Magnum PI, Death Wish II, Chips, The Incredible Hulk (TV series), Fantasy Island, The FBI, Platoon Leader, Shoot Out, Getting Straight, and many more.
The internet radio program currently has a line up of celebrity guests scheduled throughout May and June and into July. Upcoming shows include actress Lee Purcell on May 27, award-winning singer-songwriter Harriet Schock on June 3, award-winning filmmaker Bayou Bennett of Dolce Films on June 10, celebrity author Grace Robbins on June 17, and legendary musician Spencer Davis of The Spencer Davis Group on June 24.
