This year marks the 21st annual for the event, which is located at Scottsdale Rd. and the Loop 101 and operates from Jan. 15 to March 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. everyday.

The juried, invitational show and art sale is more than 40,000 square feet of working studios and works of art by known and emerging artists all assembled under the "big white tents." Visitors range from serious collectors to first-time-buyers who feel at-ease in the comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

The Celebration of Fine Art has been called "One of the West's Premier Art Events" by Art & Antiques magazine, and today, it attracts more than 50,000 visitors over the 10-week show. Annual sales have topped $5 million per year, and nearly 90 percent of visitors make it an annual tradition, providing the city of Scottsdale a significant boost in tourism.

"Part of what has made this show so popular is the live interaction with the artists and the range of artists," said Susan Morrow Potje, co-owner and show director. "Visitors get to watch artists create their pieces live, ask questions and learn about what inspired their designs. We have artists from all over the country who specialize in painting, sculpting, metalwork, and jewelry, among others."

Styles range from realistic to impressionistic, western realism, abstract to contemporary. Subjects include landscapes to wildlife to still life and nearly all media is represented. In addition to the tented areas, the show features a landscaped sculpture garden, which is nearly an acre in size.

"We are proud to be a part of the vibrant, energetic and diverse art scene in Scottsdale," Morrow Potje said. "The dynamics of how the art lovers and the artists connect at the Celebration of Fine Art has changed the way people feel about buying art. Collectors value the special connection that is fostered in this incredible, relaxed environment and the artists thrive on the feedback and real relationships that they have with their collectors."
