Celebrating one year of Bluefy updates: hundreds of thousands of people use the BLE browser regularly
The Ukrainian IT company released applications for iOS users just over a year ago. The application is constantly being improved and receives feedback and positive ratings. The Web Bluetooth browser allows you to create custom IoT solutions that will work on all iOS devices
- (1888PressRelease) August 19, 2021 - Since Bluetooth Low-Energy enables enterprises to reduce power consumption by 95-99%, developers from Ukrainian company PNN Soft decided to create a mobile browser for iOS based on BLE technology. After half-year of intensive development, in 2020, Bluefy reached the IT market. The feedback from the audience was quite positive. However, the team strived to refine functionality and interface features.
Regular updates implied improving the compatibility: the developers' goal was to ensure smooth Bluefy operation from any iOS device. During the first half of 2021, the IT experts were working on additional features for web developers — it is now possible to create a simple web solution inside the app. Responding to clients' needs, PNN Soft team provided Bluefy with language localization and comprehensive IT Support.
Yet, language support wouldn't be holistic if developers hadn't researched Bluefy's audience. They analyzed users' data to define in which countries people utilize the app the most. Drawing on the results found, IT experts adopted a localization feature. Nowadays, Bluefy has language localization consisting of 14 European languages. Another goal was expanding the technology stack to avoid connectivity interruptions, especially during web apps development. Security enhancements were indispensable as well because Bluefy enables users to share personal data through the cloud. PNN Soft developers implemented well-tested security tools, including robust protocols and a double encryption layer.
Connectivity improvements resulted in expanding IoT potential: Bluefy users may pair several wireless devices simultaneously. The app will be working stably even in that case, so industrial facilities and business spaces can take full advantage of the Internet of Things.
Optimizing design seems impossible without identifying user experience weak points. Thus, the QA team and designers joined their efforts to strengthen project design and handle compatibility issues. Now the app seamlessly works from iPad, iPad PRO, and iPhone 11.0 or later. The story of Bluefy upgrades and updates goes on nonetheless — modern apps need constant refinement to stay efficient.
