- (1888PressRelease) March 11, 2011 - Thornbury, Ont. - Cedar Run Horse Park has announced the appointment of Nicole Paara as Director of Events, Marketing and Sponsorship. Paara joins the world class equestrian facility after a decade in agency-based marketing, public relations and event planning.
"We're extremely pleased to welcome Nicole to lead our event management team," said Cedar Run president Peter Lush in making the announcement. "An avid supporter of the park since its inception, she is a natural fit and brings a wealth of marketing and event planning knowledge to the table as we continue to expand our event line-up."
"I believe that Cedar Run has a bright future ahead and I look forward to being a part of it," said Paara, who is also looking forward to riding lessons this spring, under the guidance of Head Instructor Sherri-Lee Hawley at the Riding School at Cedar Run.
Paara is currently focused on developing a comprehensive Cedar Run marketing strategy that includes getting out and talking to people about sponsorship opportunities as well as preparing for busy 2011 event line-up.
The Cedar Run event management team also includes Equestrian Event Organizer Jane Casselman who manages the majority of the horse shows, and Event Logistics Manager David Rocque who coordinates all of the on-site details, including ensuring park grounds are ready for events.
"Working closely together, we're continuing to build our profile and portfolio of events, both in the equestrian community as well as in the local community," said Paara. "Our 2011 schedule includes everything from festivals and weddings to horse shows and charity events that give back to the community. We'll be announcing many of these events in the coming days."
