CCE Updates ODX Libraries for CATIA V5 by Providing Enhanced PMI and Persistent Id Support
NX Libraries Also Updated to Support NX10 Write.
- Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) January 28, 2016 - CCE, a leading provider in advanced interoperability technology and engineering services, has released updates of its Open Data Exchange (ODX) libraries.
CCE has announced significant updates for CATIA V5, including updated PMI support.
"We are pleased to offer our users enhanced PMI support in CATIA V5 by providing dimension representation; by doing this, users can discover if specified dimensions are parallel to geometry or aligned to the views horizontally or vertically," said Vinay Wagle, CCE's VP of Sales and Marketing. "This development helps users complete their tasks with far greater accuracy and makes the design process more efficient," added Wagle.
In addition to many other significant ODX updates, persistent information is now provided for tessellated entities in CATIA V5. CCE already has extensive support for various forms of persistent information that is used by ISVs to create associative CAD interfaces.
CCE has also updated its ODX libraries for NX, including the ability to write the latest version of NX data (NX 10).

About Open Data Exchange (ODX):
Open Data Exchange (ODX) libraries read & write Native CAD data. File formats that are currently supported for ODX include CATIA V4, CATIA V5, CATIA V6, NX, Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, Pro/ENGINEER (PTC CreoŽ), JT, Solid Edge, Parasolid, IGES, STEP, 3D PDF, VDA, & STL. Applications developed using ODX libraries are independent of CAD. The libraries written in C & C++ are easy to implement & follow software releases via continuous updates. Apart from licensing the library components, we also provide integrations services to integrate our libraries into customer applications. The true benefit of using our ODX libraries is the reduced cost to the user. Our ODX libraries do not require CAD software or licenses, which can be quite costly. ODX gives the user the ability to read & write native CAD files without the cost of ownership associated with the CAD system.
