CCE Updates Existing ODX Libraries with Key Enhancements
Libraries Now Support JT 10.0 Write.
- Farmington, NM (1888PressRelease) October 21, 2015 - CCE, a leading provider in advanced interoperability technology and engineering services, has released updates of its Open Data Exchange (ODX) libraries.
CCE has announced support for several new versions. It now allows writing JT 10.0 files, as well as reading files from Solid Edge ST8 and Autodesk Inventor 2015.
In another key update, CCE's ODX/SW library now supports design tables in SOLIDWORKS 2015 files. Design tables are the most powerful and flexible means of creating multiple configuration of the same design by changing dimension parameters, custom properties, part suppression, and more in the SOLIDWORKS model.
"With increased competition and reduced time-to-market, design automation is very important to users of CAD systems," said Vinay Wagle, CCE's VP of Sales & Marketing. "CCE's ODX libraries now enable our ISV customers to read design table information in SOLIDWORKS and map to their respective systems, thus capturing the automation information and saving their users time," added Vinay.
Some of the other updates include support for external references in IGES files, mass properties for Inventor assembly components, and providing layer information for Solid Edge sketches, among others.

About Open Data Exchange (ODX)
Open Data Exchange (ODX) libraries read & write Native CAD data. File formats that are currently supported for ODX include CATIA V4, CATIA V5, CATIA V6, NX, Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, Pro/ENGINEER (PTC CreoŽ), JT, Solid Edge, Parasolid, IGES, STEP, 3D PDF, VDA, & STL. Applications developed using ODX libraries are independent of CAD. The libraries written in C &C++ are easy to implement & follow software releases via continuous updates. Apart from licensing the library components, we also provide integrations services to integrate our libraries into customer applications. The true benefit of using our ODX libraries is the reduced cost to the user. Our ODX libraries do not require CAD software or licenses, which can be quite costly. ODX gives the user the ability to read & write native CAD files without the cost of ownership associated with the CAD system.
