CCE Announces Major Enhancements to its ODX Interop Libraries
Enhanced Persistent ID, PMI and Parallel Processing Support for CATIA, NX & Creo.
- Farmington, NM (1888PressRelease) January 17, 2018 - CCE, a leading provider of advanced interoperability technology, has announced new releases of its ODX libraries for 3D CAD interoperability. Multiple important enhancements were introduced at the start of the New Year, which will greatly improve seamless multi-CAD interoperability functionality for all Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) who license ODX technology.
CCE’s CATIA V5 (read & write) libraries were enhanced to provide persistent IDs for Axis systems. This adds to all the persistence information already provided by the CATIA V5 libraries that ISVs use to create associative interfaces.
In order for ISVs to be able to handle increasingly annotated 3D models in a Model Based Enterprise, CCE made some major enhancements to PMI support in areas including dimensions & leaders, geometric tolerances, PMI entity associations, annotation standards among others.
Parallel processing support was enhanced for CCE’s Creo libraries which will allow applications to process assembly components concurrently, thereby dramatically increasing translation speeds, especially for large assemblies.
CCE also upgraded its NX libraries to support NX 12.0 and its Parasolid library to support Parasolid 30. This is consistent with CCE’s commitment to provide rapid support for all latest CAD versions.
“We are excited to kick off the New Year with some significant enhancements to our ODX libraries,” said CCE’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Vinay Wagle. “Leading ISVs depend on our technology to provide seamless multi-CAD interoperability for their global customer base. It’s gratifying to know that CCE’s technology is an integral part of their product strategy and we are committed to keep investing in enhancing our technology,” added Vinay.

About Open Data Exchange (ODX):
Open Data Exchange (ODX) libraries read & write Native CAD data. File formats that are currently supported for ODX include CATIA V4, CATIA V5, CATIA V6, NX, Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, Pro/ENGINEER (PTC Creo®), JT, Solid Edge, Parasolid, IGES, STEP, 3D PDF, VDA, & STL. Applications developed using ODX libraries are independent of CAD. The libraries written in C & C++ are easy to implement & follow software releases via continuous updates. Apart from licensing the library components, we also provide integrations services to integrate our libraries into customer applications. The true benefit of using our ODX libraries is the reduced cost to the user. Our ODX libraries do not require CAD software or licenses, which can be quite costly. ODX gives the user the ability to read & write native CAD files without the cost of ownership associated with the CAD system.
