CBT College Named As Lead Sponsor Of New World School Of The Arts (NWSA) Renowned Puttin' On The Ritz Annual Concert
CBT College will be participating in this prestigious event to help raise funds for the NWSA high school ensemble.
- (1888PressRelease) February 17, 2011 - Miami, FL - CBT College (College of Business & Technology), an academic and career education institution based in Miami, Florida operating five campuses in the greater Miami-Dade area, has been named the lead sponsor for the renowned, Puttin' on the Ritz signature benefit dinner, dance and concert featuring the New World School of the Arts (NWSA) High School Jazz Ensemble, with guest artist Jazz singer Allan Harris on Friday, February 25, at 8 P.M. at the Hilton Miami Airport Hotel, 5101 Blue Lagoon Drive. Event proceeds benefit the music division at New World.
CBT College is providing a Net Notebook as well as $3,000 to help raise funds for the high school ensemble so they can compete at national conferences and competitions and acquire instruments in addition to other needs that are above the school's budget. At the prestigious event, CBT College will also provide interested students with information about the school, events and its technological programs.
Directed by Peter Francis, this year's jazz ensemble will perform with world-renowned jazz singer Allan Harris. Allan Harris is a world-class singer, guitarist and songwriter, perhaps best known for his interpretations of jazz standards, Allan's smooth vocals and guitar-styling easily cross genres, from jazz to rock to blues. Allan has cultivated a global following, playing for packed audiences and receiving outstanding reviews throughout the United States, Europe, Russia and the Far East. A three-time winner of the New York Nightlife Award for "Outstanding Jazz Vocalist,"
NWSA High School Jazz Ensemble have earned national recognition for their talents. Their most recent honors include; Downbeat Student Music Awards and have been selected to perform with the High School Grammy Band in Los Angeles.
Reserved seating is $60 per person. Pre-dinner festivities will include complimentary dance lessons and silent auction preview from 7-8 PM.
