  • Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) March 07, 2013 - The local Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) office has announced that Cathy Sanita has been appointed Executive Director of the Raleigh District. Ms. Sanita's operations and leadership experience along with her involvement with the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women program will bring new energy that will enhance MDA's mission in the Raleigh District.

    Ms. Sanita has been leading efforts in business operations, marketing management, public relations and human resources in the Triangle area for 17 years. Prior to that, her business experience included work in New York focusing on administrative management and business development. Over the years, Ms. Sanita has volunteered for numerous organizations and held various leadership roles on boards and committees. Most recently, her involvement with Go Red For Women included event logistics, securing sponsors and working with vendors for various events.
