(1888PressRelease) March 27, 2009 - Arlington, TX- Cassidee Jane Jewelry launches a new Etsy store featuring handcrafted jewelry designs with pieces inspired by retro jewelry, Oriental jewelry and western jewelry themes. Necklaces, bracelets and earrings are created using natural and enhanced stones or artistic glass beads.

“I love the fact that Etsy is a community of artisans that is growing because consumers appreciate the opportunity to purchase handmade items including handcrafted jewelry,” said Dot Anderson, designer of the Cassidee Jane line. “I started designing handcrafted jewelry about five years ago as a whim and found that I didn’t want to stop with just pieces for myself. I kept having ideas that I wanted to create.”

Sometimes inspiration for a handcrafted jewelry project comes from the stones themselves as she searches through online bead stores as well as area bead shops. “Some of my first pieces combined aventurine, pearls and onyx,” said Anderson, “and I continue to return to that combination as well as to aventurine, pearls and rose quartz. These are very soothing colors and who isn’t looking for a little more calm these days?”

Cassidee Jane designs have been marketed in jewelry, antique and craft stores that allow Anderson to design for fun and sell in retail environments that take care of all the details of customer purchases. “I don’t have the time to make enough pieces to wholesale or to spend weekends at craft fairs, so I look for ways to retail and to continually reach more customers,” said Anderson.

“I think we are living in a very creative time and a time of individual expression,” she said. “A certain type of customer prefers to put together outfits that reflect their individuality and although they don’t have time to create handcrafted jewelry or design clothing themselves they seek it out.
