CaseyGerry Attorney Srinivas Hanumadass Recognized at Thomas Jefferson School of Law’s Judicial Mixer and Awards Reception

- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) October 18, 2018 - CaseyGerry attorney Srinivas Hanumadass recently received the Outstanding Service to Community Award from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law (TJSL) Alumni Association. The award was presented during TJSL’s 11th Annual Judicial Mixer and Awards Reception held last week at the James M. Carter and Judith N. Keep U.S. Courthouse in San Diego.
Since 2008, TJSL students have joined faculty, staff and alumni to meet and network with state and federal judges from San Diego County in a social setting and to recognize those the TJSL Alumni Association have chosen to honor for their contributions to the law school and to the community.
“Srinivas truly deserves this honor as he goes above and beyond to give back to the community,” said David S. Casey, Jr., CaseyGerry’s managing partner. “We are all very proud of his service.”
Since 2012, Hanumadass has volunteered with Just in Time, an organization which assists foster youth in transition. He is one of only 16 attorneys nationwide – and the only San Diegan – named to participate in the 2018 American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Leadership Academy, an initiative of AAJ’s diversity committee. He is vice president and a board member of the San Diego County Bar Association and served two terms as president of the South Asian Bar Association. Additionally, he is past scholarship committee chair of Lawyers Club of San Diego, an organization dedicated to the advancement of women in the law and society.
He earned a J.D. with honors from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in history from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Other honorees at the event included The Honorable John A. Houston, judge of the United States District Court of the Southern District of California, recognized for his 20 years of service on the federal bench with the Judicial Officer Service Award, and public defender Randy Mize, who was inducted to the TJSL Wall of Fame.
