Casey Gerry Attorney to Serve as AAJ NLD Secretary
Jessica Klarer Pride has been elected to serve as secretary of the New Lawyers Division (NLD) of the American Association for Justice.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) August 09, 2010 - Jessica Klarer Pride, an attorney with San Diego-based Casey Gerry Schenk Francavilla Blatt & Penfield, LLP, has been elected to serve as secretary of the New Lawyers Division (NLD) of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) -the world's largest trial bar-for 2010-201l.
She will serve a one-year term, working on various projects and activities related to AAJ NLD, which is focused on stimulating the interest and commitment of New Lawyers. Previously known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), the Washington D.C.-based AAJ has 65,000 members internationally, including attorneys, law professors, paralegals and law students.
According to Casey Gerry's senior partner, David S. Casey, Jr., past present of ATLA, "AAJ's purpose is to promote a fair and effective justice system -- through education and disclosure of information critical to the health and safety of the American public. We are thrilled that Jessica will represent our firm in this important organization and work to further its very important mission."
Pride concentrates her practice on products and premises liability, automobile collision, asbestos litigation and other serious personal injury cases. Bilingual in Spanish, she also works closely with Casey Gerry's Hispanic clients.
She received her J.D. from USD School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UC Irvine, and worked at Girardi and Keese in Los Angeles prior to joining Casey Gerry as a law clerk in 2006. Pride was also a certified intern at the USD School of Law Civil Clinic and has received training from the California Academy of Mediation Professionals as a mediator.
Pride is also a member of the board of governors for California for AAJ NLD. In addition to her involvement with AAJ, she is a board member with the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (CASD) and with the San Diego County Bar Association (Young New Lawyers Division) and a member of Lawyer's Club of San Diego, the Consumer Attorneys of California and La Raza Lawyers Association. Additionally, she is active in Big Brothers Big Sisters-a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children.
