CAS-MI Welcomes New Staff Members
CAS-MI Laboratories welcomes three new staff members to its growing team of paint and coating testing and development laboratory.
- Ann Arbor, MI (1888PressRelease) February 15, 2011 - CAS-MI Laboratories and the CAS-MI Innovation Center welcome three new staff members, Jeanette Smith, Adam Emerson and Andrew Brown. They are part of CAS-MI's growing analytical and formulation services to the paint, coating and adhesive industries.
Jeanette Smith is now Senior Chemist/Coating Technologist in the CAS-MI Innovation Center. Jeanette brings years of experience in formulating coatings, specifically adhesives, polymers, polyurethanes and rubbers. She also brings a valuable background in chemical analysis and material science, including GC, GC/MS, HPLC and SPC. "Jeanette's experience is formulating laminating adhesives, heat activated adhesives and pressure sensitive adhesives will be of special interest to our expanding clientele in this niche" says Stephen C. Hall, Senior Technical Director and General Manager of CAS-MI Laboratories.
Adam Emerson is also a new member of the CAS-MI Innovation Center team. As a Formulation Chemist, he brings experience in polymer and coating formulation. He will be working with clients to design new products, characterization, evaluation and testing, and assisting with scale-up from bench top to pilot plant.
Also joining CAS-MI Laboratories is Andrew Brown. Andrew, a recent graduate of Purdue University in Pre-Medical Engineering, has taken the position of Biomedical Engineering Technician. He will be assisting in projects involving physical testing and evaluations, as well as analytical testing of coatings. "Andrew's background in medical devices will be beneficial to CAS-MI's growing focus on testing and developing coatings for medical devices" states Stephen C. Hall.
These new additions support CAS-MI's aggressive growth and ensure its clients have access to industry leading minds in paints, coatings, adhesive and sealant development.
