- Nassau-Suffolk, NY (1888PressRelease) September 05, 2012 - The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will take place at 8:30 a.m. in the Thomas Dixon Lovely Ballroom of Adelphi's Ruth S. Harley University Center, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY. A light breakfast will be served. Seating is limited and reservations are required by Monday, September 10.
Ms. Roan is Vice President of Corporate Responsibility & Reputation at Pfizer Inc., the world's largest biopharmaceutical company headquartered in New York. She is also President of The Pfizer Foundation. Under Ms. Roan's leadership, Pfizer continues to be a top corporate donor and has received local, national and international awards and recognition for its corporate responsibility programs.
Prior to joining Pfizer, Ms. Roan worked with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Community Health Team and at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS at Yale University's Department of Epidemiology and Public Health.
Ms. Roan serves as a David Rockefeller Fellow through the Partnership for New York City.

Dr. Robert A. Scott launched Adelphi's President's Series on Critical Issues in 2001 to provide students, scholars, and distinguished guests with an intimate forum in which to explore critical local, regional, national, and global topics.
