Dr. Anne L. White of Carolina Laser and Cosmetic Center partners with Family Services in Winston Salem to help victims of domestic violence get back on their feet.
- Winston-Salem, NC (1888PressRelease) December 09, 2015 - Dr. Anne L. White of Carolina Laser and Cosmetic Center has partnered with Family Services, a non-profit organization in Winston Salem that helps victims of domestic violence rebuild their lives. The holiday months can be particularly difficult on families. Many families and individuals seek the help of Family Services as a result of experiencing sexual assault and/or domestic violence, which generally increases by at least 10% during the holiday season. While no one can change the past, Family Services strives to mentor people while they rebuild their lives and Carolina Laser and Cosmetic Center wants to help with that.
"I am thrilled to be able to contribute to the women and families in the Triad who have had their lives turned upside down by domestic violence. As a woman who has been personally affected by domestic violence, I know how important donations and support from the community are to these families. This is the least I can do" says Anne L. White, MD.
Carolina Laser and Cosmetic Center will now be a donation drop spot for the the many items these families need in order to get back on their feet. The donations will help women and children, who have been devastated by family violence, to experience a brighter holiday season and transition to a safer, more hopeful future with dignity and with items they will need for a fresh start.
Carolina Laser and Cosmetic Center has a wish list posted on their website for the items that are needed at the Family Services shelter.
