Career Step to Donate to the National Military Family Association for Each November Referral
Career Step will celebrate National Military Family Appreciation Month by donating $50 for each referred student who enrolls in November to the National Military Family Association's Operation PurpleŽ initiative.
- Provo-Orem, UT (1888PressRelease) November 07, 2013 - PROVO, Utah-Career Step, an online school offering career-focused education, will celebrate National Military Family Appreciation Month for the second year in a row by donating $50 to the National Military Family Association's Operation PurpleŽ initiative for each student referred to Career Step who enrolls in November. Operation Purple has helped nearly 48,000 children over the past ten years learn how to handle a parent's absence and make new friends dealing with similar situations.
"Career Step has helped over 11,000 military spouses and service members over the years, and we work hard to support the military community with our online career-focused training and by participating in various initiatives such as MyCAA and the Military Spouse Employment Partnership," said Tim Reynolds, Career Step Military Liaison. "We are thrilled to expand our support to military children by, once again, partnering with the National Military Family Association's Operation Purple."
The November donation drive will be administered through Career Step's Referral Program, which offers participants a referral bonus of up to $250 when someone they refer enrolls in one of Career Step's training programs. In celebration of National Military Appreciation Month, Career Step will be donating $50 for every one of these referred students who enrolls in the month of November in addition to paying the normal bonus to the referrer.
Career Step's donations to the National Military Family Association have been designated for the Operation PurpleŽ program, which offers a free week of summer fun for military kids with parents who have been, are currently, or will be deployed. The goal of the Operation PurpleŽ camp program is to give military children tools to help deal with the stresses that result from a parent's deployment through a memorable camp experience. Operation PurpleŽ camps fully embrace being "purple" and are open to military children of all ranks and services, from both active and reserve components.
