Career Step to Donate $5,000 to the National Military Family Association
Career Step will be donating $5,000 to the National Military Family Association's Operation Purple® Program as a result of a November donation drive conducted in conjunction with the school's referral network.
- Provo-Orem, UT (1888PressRelease) December 23, 2014 - Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, is proud to announce that with the help of its referral network it will be donating $5,000 to the National Military Family Association's Operation Purple® Program. The donation is a result of a November donation drive conducted in conjunction with the school's referral network.
"This is our third year supporting the Operation Purple® Program through our wonderful network of referrers," said Vonda Andrews, Career Step Referral Program Manager. "This program has grown very close to our hearts, and we look forward every year to the opportunity to support military children and families."
Career Step's donation to the National Military Family Association has been designated for the Operation Purple® Program, which hosts Operation Purple Family Retreats®, Operation Purple Healing Adventures® and Operation Purple® Camps to strengthen, support and encourage military children and families. All of these programs specifically focus on helping military families cope with the stress of deployment, homecoming and injuries. This is done by providing opportunities to connect with others in similar situations, learn positive communication techniques and make happy memories.
"The military community faces many unique challenges, so we are always excited for the opportunities we have to support them," said Tim Reynolds, Career Step Military Liaison. "We have helped more than
13,000 military service members and spouses train for rewarding new careers to date, and we participate in programs like MyCAA, Military Spouse Employment Partnership, and the Military Friendly Schools® program. But we specifically look forward to this donation to the National Military Family Association each year because it allows us to support military families on an even more personal level."
This year's donation was conducted in coordination with Career Step's Referral Rewards Program, which offers resources and incentives for those interested in telling others about Career Step's career-training programs.
